The above medal was awarded to the legendary Arsenal and England player Clifford Sydney 'Boy' Bastin who played a total of twenty-one times for England at full International level between 1932 and 1938. Born in Exeter on 14th March 1912 he joined Arsenal in May 1929 from his local side Exeter City. He won five league Championship medals and two F.A.Cup winner's badges with Arsenal during their very successful period in the 1930s.
