The above cap was awarded to Billy Wright and was purchased by the vendor at a charity auction.
England played two matches against the Soviet Union at Gothenburg during the 1958 World Cup Finals. The first match which was played on 8th June 1958 ended in a 2-2 draw, with Kevan and Finney scoring for England. The second game was played on 17th June 1958 and ended in a 1-0 win for the Soviet Union. It is unclear whether the above cap represents one or both of these matches
