Two similar tapering oviform baluster vases
one painted and gilt with a continuous scene of the Shichi-fuku-jin, including Ebisu dangling a large fish from a rod, entertaining a group of young boys in an interior, the other with a group of ladies, attendants and boys on a terrace, overlooking a pavilion in a mountainous landscape, all within borders of floral and geometric motifs -- 4¾in. (12cm.) high, signed Seizan, wood stands, (one with small section broken from neck).
