A mallet shaped vase
with tall tapering neck, squat body and short foot, painted and gilt with scattered sprays of flowers and grasses -- 8in. (20.3cm.) high, signed Kinkozan zo; and a dish decorated to the centre with overlapping panels of a bird in flight above peonies and trailing wisteria, prunus and willow, all within border of lotus flowers -- 13½in. (34.2cm.) diam, (the dish cracked, some wear).
