comprising a cylindrical teapot and cover with pierced finial, angular handle and curved spout, a cream jug and cover, a two handled sugar bowl and cover and six teacups and saucers, painted and gilt with birds in flight amongst sprays of chrysanthemums, daisies, wisteria and
maple and above meandering rivers and stone lanterns and brush fences -- the teapot 4½in. (11.5cm.) high, signed Taniguchi, (minor enamel and gilt rubbing).
