A pair of square tapering vases
with short everted necks and feet, painted and gilt with shaped panels of ladies and children walking along riverbanks lined with flowers and bamboo and at leisure in boats and on terraces overlooking pavilions in mountainous landscapes, all on dark blue grounds reserved with stylised crane roundels on honeycomb and scrolling foliage grounds, the necks and feet with key-fret motifs -- 17½in. (44.5cm.) high, signed Fuzan (Tomiyama), (some gilt and enamel rubbing).
