MALBY's Terrestrial Globe compiled from the GLOBES of the SOCIETY FOR THE DIFFUs OF USEFUL KNOWLEDGE 37 Parker Street LONDON 1853
A 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter terrestrial pocket globe, made up of twelve printed coloured paper gores, the equatorial graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days and showing the symbols of the houses of the zodiac, the meridian labelled Meridian of Greenwich, the Antarctic with SUPPOSED ANTARCTIC CONTINENT shown in dotted outline and labelled with L.d seen in 1833 and MAGNETIC POLE hereabouts, other continents delicately coloured and outlined in pink, yellow and green, showing major rivers and indicating state and national boundaries by faint dotted lines, (some old cracks, revarnished), with metal axis pins, in turned wooden case with domed cover (old crack to cover, neatly repaired) -- 4.1/8in. (10.5cm.) high
