A 2¾-inch (7cm.) diameter terrestrial pocket globe, made up of twelve printed coloured paper gores, the equatorial and ecliptic graduated in degrees, the meridian labelled Meridian of London, the oceans showing variously Anson's going out, Anson's return, Capt. Cook's Track and Here C. Cook was Killed 14 FeV 1779, and various indications of Variable Winds, the polar regions marked FROZEN OCEAN, the continents showing mountain ranges and rivers, with national and state boundaries indicated by dotted lines, North America outlined in green, Northern Africa labelled BARBARY and NEGROLAND, southern Africa labelled CAFKES and South Africa labelled Country of the Hotentots, with engraved brass meridian half circle, mounted on baluster turned fruitwood column and plinth -- 5in.
