on a stylised rock and foliate base, unsigned, the two young girls holding aloft a scroll branch supporting a 5-inch (12.7cm.) diameter terrestrial globe by J. Forest, Paris, made up of twelve coloured printed paper gores, with polar calottes, the oceans showing steamship routes, telegraphic cable lines and major currents, the continents showing important railway lines, major rivers and national boundaries outlined in red (some surface discolouration and cracks) -- 25½in. (64.8cm.) high
