A 19th century school's tellurium, the 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter terrestrial globe made up of twenty four printed and coloured paper gores, national boundaries and major rivers shown, (some surface discolouration, minor cracks, some small paper loss), mounted on a gear mechanism driven by a crank handle, with candle holder and reflector over the zodiac horizontal circle, the motion arm with support, raised on a baluster turned column and moulded iron base -- 26in. (66cm.) long (maximum)
