W. Priest, London, is recorded in The Dictionary of English Furniture Makers 1660-1840, Maney, 1986. P.717, as being an auctioneer and appraiser. The business was trading at 28, Great Charlotte Street and 17 & 24 Water Street, Blackfriars, in 1837-1839. The firm of S & H Jewell, London are recorded in the same publication, p.488.
