A gentleman's rare and unusual stainless steel wristwatch with hinged lugs, Model: Oyster Chronometer, Ref:2848, circa 1938, matt silvered dial with contrasting gilt line, black Arabic numerals and baton markers, subsidiary seconds, nickel plated Ultra Prima Chronometer movement with 18-jewels and timed to six positions, circular case with flat stepped bezel, large curved hinged lugs, screw down Oyster Patent winding crown, milled edge screw back numbered 36543/2848, dial, movement and case signed, diameter 30mm.
The drawing for the design of the case for this model was submitted to the Geneva patent authorities on 11th April 1938 and the watch was launched later that year.
