A gentleman's 18ct. gold automatic calendar wristwatch, Model: Oyster Perpetual Datejust Chronometer with Turn-O-Graph/Thunderbird bezel, Ref:1625, 1960, champagne dial with applied gilt baton markers, date aperture under magnifying glass, gold hands, sweep centre seconds, 25-jewel movement adjusted to five positions and temperature, case with milled rotating Turn-O-Graph bezel with five minute indexes, screw down crown and screw back, dial, movement and case signed, 35mm.
In the American 1960 Rolex catalogue, this watch is shown with the insignia of the U.S. Air Force aerobatic flying team on the dial, the team were known as the "Thunderbirds" and thus the Datejust with this type of bezel became known as the Thunderbird, although in Europe it is referred to as the Turn-O-Graph.
