AN ELEVEN-PIECE SILVER OR SILVER-MOUNTED COMPOSITE CIRCUMCISION COMPENDIUM
Probably 19th century, some pieces Dutch, small goblet maker's mark of Urquhart & Hart, London, 1792.
Comprising a Dutch circumcision shield, two agate handled circumcision knives, a flask, a small oval tray, a container, two nested circumcision beakers and a small goblet with Hebrew inscriptions, and two medical instruments, all in fitted, velvet lined, wood case, the cover inset with Hebrew inscription and decorated with four circumcision instruments (key lacking)--9in. (24.1cm.) X 3in. (8.8cm.) high; together with a circumcision shield and an agate handled knife, and a small cup with a Hebrew inscription relating to circumcision. (14)
