A GERMAN SILVER-GILT KIDDUSH CUP
Maker's mark of Heironymus Mittnacht, Augsburg, 1763-65.
The flaring, part octagonal, bowl engraved with the Hebrew inscription Remember the Sabbath and Keep It Holy, flat-chased below with alternate blossom and rocaille motifs, on paneled baluster stem, issuing from rocaille flat-chased rising base with scalloped rim, marked on bowl and base--5in. (12.7cm.) high, 3.5 oz.
