AN EDWARDIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER TORAH CROWN AND A GEORGE IV TORAH SHIELD
Each London, 1901 and 1937, the first maker's mark of Isaac Pothecary, the other A(?).
Crown form, the center with stretcher with two circular open frames, the matted sides with simulated jewels, above with alternate leaf and silver sphere topped spike, the front with larger sphere topped by spread winged eagle--5in. (12.7cm.) diam.; the rounded rectangular shield with gilt compartment for two double sided interchangeable festival plaques, the front with lions flanking Tablets of the Law, topped by crown, the sides chased with undulating foliate scrolls--10in. (26cm.) high, 30oz. (2)
