A DUTCH SILVER TORAH CROWN AND A GILT-METAL TORAH SHIELD
20th century.
The circular frame applied with colored glass jewels at intervals, the eight molded ribbon strap body applied with graduated gilt beads, each issuing from openwork foliate oval join, repeated as divider at top and hung with gilt bell, sections divided below by acorn, all centering gilt globe and foliate bud finial, interior with two sliding Torah holders --12in. (31.8cm.) diam.; the rectangular curved shield with foliate scroll and anthemion corners, the platform set with twelve simulated gem stones, engraved with name of one of the Twelve Tribes below, with pendant chain--9in. (24.1cm.) long. (2)
