A PAIR OF GEORGE V AND A PAIR OF AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN SILVER TORAH FINIALS
Maker's mark of Jacob Rosenzweig, London, 1919; the other pair late 19th/early 20th century.
The George V pair, each with part openwork body, chased with flowers, the open panels each hung with a bell, topped by openwork scrolls, with bells hanging above and below, with conforming open knop with bell above, all topped by rampant lion finial--16in. (40.5cm.), 35.5oz.; the second pair with compressed spherical body with bowed mid-section hung with six bells, the upper section crown-form hung with three bells, on fluted stem on raised circular base, the base and body chased with blossoms and foliage on matted ground, the body also with strapwork and radiating foliage--14in. (35.5cm.) high total weight 83oz. (4)
