HEBREW MANUSCRIPT - Miscellaneous prayers for the use of the cantor, mainly to be read from the Bimah, including Yizkor-prayers in memory of deceased members of the community and registration of donations toward building the synagogue, etc. N.p., n.d. [London c. 1770]. 21 leaves, black ink on parchment, 305 x 196 mm., fols. 1-13 detached, severely soiled, some pages scuffed, fol. 6 cropped with loss of individual letters. Contemporary vellum. The assumed place and date are confirmed by the currency used for the donations listed, the dating also by the names of the members of the Royal Family mentioned -- HEBREW MANUSCRIPT - Prayers for the cantor, mainly to be read from the Bimah, with Yizkor entries of the New Synagogue, London. London, started 1801. 31 leaves, black and brown inks on parchment and paper, 365 x 240 mm., fols. 1-3 severely damaged with loss of some text, original paper title also supplied in facsimile on parchment with incorrect dating, frayed and soiled, title within architectural frame, in various Ashkenazic hands, the prayers with attractive decorated letters, modern red morocco -- HEBREW MANUSCRIPT - Yizkor book, with prayers in memory of deceased community members, with attractively decorated English and Hebrew dedication pages to the 'Hand in Hand Asylum'. England (Brighton?), 1864. 13 leaves, black ink on parchment and paper, 300 x 245 mm., English dedication page: 'Hand in Hand Asylum, presented by S.H. Lorie and M.A. Lorie in memory of their beloved and lamented Mother Rebecca Rachel Lorrie who departed this life the 20th Adar 5623', with a Hebrew colophon by Moses Aaron Lorrie, dated 1864, in a square Ashkenazic hand, with some decorated opening words, modern cloth -- HEBREW MANUSCRIPT - Shetar Yuchasin, genealogical table of the Lorrie family, signed M.A. Lorrie, dated 1861, brown ink on paper, 540 x 225 mm, torn along the two folds, in a square Ashkenazic hand, with attractive multi-colored floral decoration -- HEBREW MANUSCRIPT - Yizkor Book (prayers for deceased community members).
