A pair of Kutani mallet shaped vases
with slightly flaring necks, painted and gilt with panels of a dignitary and attendant and a woman carrying a bundle of sticks on riverbanks, all on grounds of floral roundels, stylised scattered flowersprays and geometric designs -- 134.1/8in. (33.5cms) high, (one with hairline crack to neck, slight gilt rubbing).
