A Kutani ovoid jar
painted and gilt with shaped panels of peacocks and further birds in gardens of blossoming trees and peonies issuing from rockwork, figures in pavilions and on a riverbank among pine and rockwork before a waterfall, all on grounds of floral and geometric pattern roundels, cloud scrolls and a collar of lappets reserved with further geometric designs -- 14in. (35.5cms) high.
