A Hirado blue and white vase
with tapering neck and sloping body, fluted in the form of flowerheads and moulded witth scattered kiku sprays -- 6½in. (16.5cms) high, (slight chips to extremities); a Japanese dish modelled as a shell, moulded with crabs and a shell containing a simulated pearl, painted in underglaze blue, whit and ochre enamels -- 8¾in. (22.2cms) long; and a Japanese blue and white circular box and cover painted with convulvulus -- 2½in. (6.4cms) diam.
