A mid-Victorian walnut davenport
the raised pierced fret-carved superstructure above a leather lined slope enclosing a birds eye maple interior, with four drawers to one side opposed by dummy drawers raised on turned and blind pierced fret-carved supports with scrolled corbels, on a plinth base and flattened bun feet with castors, bearing a brass plaque Presented to OR Mr Oliver McPherson by the Offices and Members of the 2nd FRV Corps Forfar 1875 -- 21in. (53cm.) wide
