AN AMERICAN SILVER TEA KETTLE ON STAND
Maker's mark of Tiffany & Co., circa 1870-1875, Union Square, nos. 1516/1614, with unmarked replaced burner
Compressed spherical, with arabesque decorated applied mid band, anthemion flat-chased short spout, the hinged low cover topped by bud finial, the part leaf clad swing handle with anthemion joins, fitted with mechanism to the circular stand on four acanthus clad, cloven hoof supports, with conforming decorated bands--15in. (38.1cm.) high, gross weight 65oz.
