The case inlaid with flower-sprays, scrolling acanthus and a ribbon-tied and tasseled oval medaillon on shaped feet, the rectangular plinth with shaped canted angles, shaped cornice with a figure of Father Time above a shaped trunk door, the arched hood with acanthus and rockwork bracket and pierced frieze and side frets, caddy top with Atlas and herald figures, the arched dial signed Philippe Fouache Delft, with moon phase, silvered chapter ring with Roman chapters and Arabic numerals, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds, date aperture, month and weekday sectors, pierced foliate spandrels with C-scrolls and subsidiary silvered rings for slaan/niet slaan en spelen/niet spelen, the arch with tune indication, the eight day five pillar movement with rack strike on one bell and a gong and playing twelve airs on a 29cm. long brass cylinder and fourteen bells, restorations
