A Flemish oak buffet
The rectangular top with egg-and-dart border above two tapering frieze drawers carved with mermaids blowing horns flanked and divided by lion- masks above two panelled doors with egg and dart borders and raised geometrical mouldings and centred a cherub riding a seahorse, each enclosing a plain interior with a shelf, with a central pilaster, depicting hope and with two similar pilasters depicting mother and child, above a foliate carved apron and on spreading block feet carved with bead-and-reel and egg-and-dart, restorations and adapted incorpating earlier elements
