Based on Goltzius' engraving, plate 11 from the passion series executed between 1596 and 1599 (see F.W.H. Hollstein, Dutch and Flemish Etchings and Engravings and Woodcuts, VIII, pp.10-11,no.31). A painted copy by Joachim van Schwoll is in the S. Jakobi Church, Hamburg (photograph in the RKD).
