Portrait of King Frederick the Great of Prussia (1712-1786), half length, wearing military uniform, decorated with the badge of the Order of the schwarzen Adler, white cuffs, gloves, and raising his cocked hat

The prototype is described in Thieme/Becker, XII, 1916, p.347; no doubt several versions were executed. The composition was also engraved by, among others, Johann Friedrich Bause. That engraving is dated 1764.
