Rectangular hardstone box, the cover inlaid with a white marble panel encrusted with a pietra-dura mosaic depicting a basket of flowers in lapis-lazuli, agate and malachite, within a border of agate and lapis-lazuli forming a ribbon-twist pattern, the sides and base of lapis-lazuli, the gold mounts engraved with ribbons, foliage, acanthus and rosettes -- 84 mm wide, minimal hairline cracking to lapis-lazuli panels
