Rectangular case with baluster sides, the cover, sides and base inset with panels of striated agate tinted red with underlaid red sealing wax, the gold cagework chased with reeded scrolls and floral swags, the pushpiece set with a stone, the interior complete containing a pair of gold-painted faceted blue glass bottles with stoppers and chased gold caps, a gold pencil holder with pencil, gold tweezers, a folding knife with dark horn handle incrusted with gold piqué posé, and tablets -- 47 mm, top cover panel with hairline crack
