Circular box, the hinged cover centred by a circular enamel miniature depicting a carelessly clad young lady with a warrior, possibly Cleopatra and Mark Antony, in a frame with bands enamelled to simulate lapis-lazuli, surrounded by a border of champlevé Vitruvian scrolls on a white enamel ground, the base with a floral rosette on an enamelled lapis-lazuli ground, the sides decorated with enamelled lapis-lazuli cartouches alternating with translucent green enamelled flutes on engine-turned coin-patterns, on a white enamelled ground with stylized lotus, the frosted gold borders decorated with green enamelled leaves alternating with yellow beads
