Paris, 1787, with the charge and discharge marks of Henry Clavel, the counter-mark of Jean-François Kalendrin 1789-1792, maker's mark rubbed comprising a "P" as second letter
Rectangular box with cut corners, the cover, sides, base and corners decorated with panels engraved with horizontal wavy engine-turning scattered with beads, the borders with a laurel and bead frieze chased in two-colour gold on frosted bands, the side and corner panels flanked by chased stylised Corinthian columns
