These clubs were the property of Melville Gray of Bowerswell House, Perth (1847-1946) who was a member of The Royal Perth Golfing Society from 1865. He was the brother of Euphemia Gray who married firstly John Ruskin in 1848 and subsequently Sir John Millais in 1855.
