Two Monks in a Landscape with the Pyramid of Cestius and an Aqueduct

Similar in subject and handling to two drawings of A Monk meditating in a Landscape and The Meditation of Saint Anthony respectively in the Valence Museum and the Musée Borely in Marseilles, J. de Cayeux, Les Hubert Robert de la Collection Veyrenc au Musée de Valence, Valence, 1985, no. 44 and fig. 58. These two drawings are datable to the later Roman period, circa 1763-4.
