A Spray of pink Roses

Ernestine Panckoucke was a close friend of Redouté and one of his favourite pupils. Née Désormeaux she married Louis-Fleury Panckoucke in 1814 and lived next to the Redouté's at Fleury. She probably met Redouté in Isabey's studio where she had her portrait painted, E. Hardouin-Frugier, The Pupils of Redouté, Leigh-on-Sea, 1981, pp. 53-4.
