gilt with the monograms AD, painted en grisaille with satyrs either side of a burning urn, issuing brightly coloured scrolling foliage and flowers on a gilt ground between pale-green bands painted with scrolling leaves, gilt interlaced L marks, date letters JJ for 1787, painter's marks LB for Jean-Nicolas Le Bel, incised DZa to cup (the cup cracked and restored to rim, rubbing to saucer)
