woodcut, 1504, from the set of twenty, a Meder h impression after the 1511 edition, watermark Chapel and Serpent (M. 111, dated after 1600), with narrow margins, a horizontal repaired crease across the lower half of subject with touches of pen and ink, a few smaller, similar creases in the blank areas below Joachim's right foot and in the sky, one or two further tears (some repaired) in places at the edges, lesser defects
