The Flight into Egypt, from The Life of the Virgin
woodcut, circa 1505, from the set of twenty, a Meder f impression after the 1511 edition, watermark Escutcheon with Bend (M. 246), with small margins, a short diagonal tear at the top, a few repaired nicks at the sheet edges not affecting the subject, an old central vertical fold mainly visible on the reverse, touches of pen and ink mainly on the borderline, otherwise generally in good condition
