Plain circular, the dish with tapering sides and moulded rim, with two drop ring handles, the detachable cover with ring handle and cut-card work, the cover and body each engraved twice with a coat-of-arms with Baron's coronet above, marked on underside of dish, dish handles and interior of cover, the underside of the dish engraved with number scratch weight 'No.1 = 49'
