No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VA… Read more HARRY MOGER Born in 1879 in Southampton, Henry Hubert Moger signed for his home club as a goalkeeper in 1900 after brief spells with Forest Swifts and Freemantle. His 6ft 2in., 12st. 2lb. frame was ideal for his chosen role, but as deputy to the England International 'keeper, Jack Robinson, Moger was to make only 14 Southern League appearances for Southampton. In 1903, he moved to Manchester United where he subsequently appeared in 242 League and 22 Cup matches. During the period 1907-11 he was the automatic first choice, during which spell two League Championships and one F.A. Cup win came to Old Trafford. When he retired from football in 1912, he continued to live in Manchester working as a commission agent
