Lot Essay

This guitar was given to Chips Moman by country star Waylon Jennings in the 1970s, around the time that Moman began to produce a series of best-selling records for the singer. Moman also wrote Jenning's 1977 No.1 hit Luckenbach, Texas. Jennings used the guitar on hit albums like Honky Tonk Heroes and Ol' Waylon, and also during many live performances.
