A 19th century gold, rose-cut diamond and enamel brooch by Boucheron,
the circular striped blue enamel plaque with rose-cut diamond double-row crescent and rose-cut diamond point detail, with applied motif engraved in the Neo Renaissance style in the form of a mythical bird amid scrolling foliage, the beak terminating with a single seed pearl, the pierced quatrefoil scroll reverse signed Fic.(For Frèdèric)Boucheron, Paris, French poinçon marks, in maker's case stamped, Boucheron, Medaille d'or Exposition de 1867, Galerie de Valois, 152,153 & 154 Palais Royal, circa 1880.
Provenance
Vendor states that this brooch was given to his aunt by a noble French family.
