Signed Schettl (?), late 17th Century
With three-stage barrel, turned girdles, fluted octagonal breech, plain tang, associated signed flat bevelled lock engraved with a putto and martial trophies, chiselled cock engraved with a monster-head and foliage, full stock (repaired) profusely inlaid in the Teschen manner with staghorn lines enclosing scrolls and dots, hounds, a hare and marine monsters, heightened with small mother-of-pearl panels, iron mounts including spurred pommel and associated trigger-guard, engraved staghorn fore-end cap and rear ramrod-pipe, and later horn-tipped ramrod
