No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VA… Read more RONNIE MACKINNON Ronnie MacKinnon a centre-half with a neat and precise style and calming influence graced many a match in Rangers colours. Born in Glasgow on the 20th August 1940, his career began with Glasgow Benburb and then Dunipace Juniors before joining Rangers in July 1959. A stalwart with the club through the 1960s he won many major honours in the Scottish game. Due to an unfortunate leg break sustained in a match against Sporting Lisbon he missed out in the European Cup Winners' Cup final in 1972 but due to his efforts in the earlier rounds the club awared him a medal. In 1965 he made his debut for Scotland against Italy and quickly became a Scotland International regular through the remaining years of the 1960s and into the early 1970s, making a further twenty-seven appearance for his Country.
