See E. Köllmann and M. Jarchow, Berliner Porzellan, Munich, 1987, Vol. II, p. 458, fig. 305 for an ice-pail with the same pattern, and Vol. I, p. 156 for a description. The pattern, known as the 'Kurländer Muster', is one of the best examples of the neoclassical style. It was probably inspired by ornaments on silver.
