A Berlin (K.P.M) two-handled Kratervase
Circa 1820, blue sceptre mark and Prussian eagle and K.P.M. mark
Of conventional form, the flared body with two gilt angular loop handles, the sides with two micro-mosaic octagonal panels of birds on trees against a blue sky flanked by two gilt paterea between richly gilt bands of pendant husks and foliage and with pale salmon-pink bands, the circular spreading foot with radiating foliage, on a gilt square base with flowerheads at the corners, the overturned rim with a broad gilt band (some minute wear to top rim and one handle, slight chip to edge of foot)
