A BLACK AND WHITE OVERLAY 'SNOWSTORM' GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1780-1850
The white and black layers carved to the clear 'snowflake' ground on one side with a spotted deer beneath a pine tree and a stork flying near the sun. The reverse is carved with a hawk perched in a tree beside a crescent moon, and a seated dog at the base. The narrow sides are carved with faux mask-and-ring handles.
3 5/8 in. (9.3 cm.) high, hardstone stopper
