A BLUE-OVERLAY CLEAR GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
PROBABLY PALACE WORKSHOPS, BEIJING, 1750-1820
The bottle is carved through the translucent sapphire-blue overlay to the bubble-suffused transparent ground on either side with bowls of Buddha's hand citron and grapes on raised stands resting on a stack of books.
2 ½ in. (6.4 cm.) high, shell and glass stopper
