Lot Essay

Taking stylization to the extreme was the Viennese firm of Hagenauer whose's output included mask-like dancers, streamlined figures and animals, formalized boats and cars, working usually in bronze, copper, brass or ebonised wood. Their work often reflects the influence of Modigliani or Brancusi.
