A brass-mounted Nagasaki lacquer export cabinet
Edo Period (19th Century)
Decorated in gold hiramaki-e and inlaid with aogai with flowering peony, ho-o-birds and eagles, the rectangular top above a pair of doors enclosing a fitted interior with ten variously sized drawers, raised on a later stand with slightly tapering legs (some damage and restoration)
